UPH and UMC physicians recognized as Best Doctors in America

Featured in Tucson Lifestyle magazine, nearly 100 doctors of The University of Arizona College of Medicine and University Physicians Healthcare were recognized

ACP conference with great UA involvement

The American College of Physicians held its Arizona Chapter meeting in Phoenix this year. Several of our residents made the trek north, including Dr. Amber Carpio. She carried on the UA tradition of excellence in the Vignette Competition by placing 2nd place. For the last four years UA residents have placed either 1st or 2nd in this statewide competition. Our resident team of Drs. Hiba Hamdan, Mona Selej and Laith Saleh represented us well in the Doctor's Dilemma Competition but was unable to advance to the national finals. The 2009 ACP Chapter Meeting will return to Tucson in the fall and will feature not only the Vignette and Doctor's Dilemma competitions, but also research and case-based poster presentations as well as valuable lectures in the field of Internal Medicine.
